Intimate Wedding Riva Loft Florence

Riva Lofts is title of post of today, 15 years ago, I married my husband Paolo. While planning our wedding, I decided to take care of the floral arrangements myself.
I was working as an architect in Florence then, but I enjoyed it so much that after my wedding I decided to change career and become a floral designer!

Since then, I have helped countless brides with their flower design on weddings in Florence and all over Tuscany. This summer, however, my 15th wedding anniversary was coming up and me and my husband decided to celebrate this milestone with an intimate ceremony with our dearest family and friends.

I’ve always believed that falling in love is natural but staying in love is something you choose to do. Our relationship had its challenges, but I feel blessed to have a husband who held my hand and grew with me so that’s why I wanted to reaffirm my choice and renew my vows to him.

We wanted our vows renewal to take place in Florence, the city we love most, where we chose to live and built our family and where thousands of people from all around the World celebrate their destination wedding each year. I had no doubts about booking the suite at Riva Loft, an amazing boutique hotel in the heart of Florence with an outdoor garden and swimming pool where you feel like you are in the middle of the Tuscany countryside.

The second step was to ensure that Emma Innocenti photographer and her talented husband videographer from Innocenti Studio were available on the day. We have collaborated on weddings many times before and I wanted them on my wedding vows renewal to make sure I got amazing photos and a wedding video.

Planning every wedding decor starts always from a single detail, and for me it was a gorgeous blue and white tablecloth I fell in love with at first sight.
The overall theme is blue which is my favurite colour, and I used it everywhere from florals of blue hidrangeas to the elegant stationery designed by Meli-Melo, that included our vows and some beautiful invites (to also follow the ceremony via a Zoom link for our far away virtual guests). Our lovely dog Charlie wore a blue papillon and it kind of was the star of the day!

I used some pink details to soften the blue theme in various places: in the flowers, my bright pink shoes, some decorative peaches and the sugar flowers on my cake made by talented Melanie of Tuscan Wedding Cakes.
Something else I love is that I wore again my original wedding gown, now a gorgeous Scervino vintage wedding dress which I fall madly in love with 15 years ago, and that still fits me!

I want to truly thank all the vendors as we really enjoyed our big renewal day, everything was perfect!
